Valley Stars Basketball Academy (VSBA) was established in 2016 with the mission to redefine success both on and off the basketball court. As a nonprofit organization, VSBA is dedicated to instilling fundamental life skills and fostering resilient communities where at-risk youth can thrive. From the beginning, VSBA has aimed to ensure that every child—regardless of financial situation, background, or athletic ability—has equal access to the opportunity to play basketball and develop their self-esteem and confidence.

Valley Stars Basketball Academy (VSBA) provides comprehensive basketball training programs for youth ages 6-17 throughout the San Fernando Valley, welcoming players of all skill levels and socio-economic backgrounds. Our year-round programs include basketball training alongside enrichment activities designed to support both athletic growth and personal development.
We believe that whether players aim to join competitive high school or college teams or simply enjoy basketball recreationally, understanding the fundamentals is key. Our primary goal is to equip young athletes with basic basketball skills while fostering self-esteem, confidence, and camaraderie among teammates.

Kiki, and all the other coaches hold kids accountable–they let them know what they are doing well and how to be better. The kids get involved with the program too! They help with scoring, work the concession stand, and set up for games. They are taught to take pride and ownership of Valley Stars. We are very proud to be a part of such a great program.”
