Coach Ted Vargas
Leading our USA Volleyball girls program with grit, energy, and a championship résumé, Coach Ted Vargas brings decades of experience to every practice.
During his four years coaching Girls and Boys Varsity at Panorama High School, Ted guided his teams to major milestones — 2024 CIF LA City Section Division IV Runner-Up, 2025 CIF State Division 5 Regional Semifinalist, and 2025 CIF LA City Section Division III Championship. His boys’ teams also earned CIF LA City Playoff berths from 2022–2024. Earlier in his career, he served as the Girls Varsity Basketball Coach at Saint Genevieve from 2010–2013 and has been a certified high school basketball official for more than 20 years.
Ted’s coaching approach is rooted in passion and hard work. He sees volleyball as an exciting, fast-paced team sport and takes pride in helping young athletes reach their individual and team goals. His belief is simple: the more you’re on the court passing, setting, and hitting hundreds of balls the more you grow. And above all, he teaches his players to embrace a mindset of possibility. His philosophy: never say “no” or “I can’t,” because giving your best always brings you closer to your goals.
Coach Ted brings that spirit to every session, inspiring athletes to compete with heart, confidence, and purpose.
